Restaurant Review: Curry Away

Thursday evening Eric & I ventured to Swissvale, a borough a few miles outside of Pittsburgh. Our main goal was to pick up super adorable pineapple drawer pulls that someone was giving away - but on our way we passed a Thai restaurant. Despite already having planned what we'd make for dinner, we decided to stop and give it a try. - One thing we will never pass up is trying a new Thai place!!

The restaurants name was Curry Away, located on Edgewood Avenue in Swissvale - in a small, nondescript shopping plaza with a laundromat and chiropractor.

The restaurant is small - we began as the only ones in there and were able to score a prime seat by the window - eventually a few other diners would join us.

We started with fresh spring rolls - yum!! These were some of the best spring rolls we've had, stuffed with tofu & with the surprising bites of cucumber. The peanut sauce that accompanied it was thicker and sweeter than most - but also better than most!

While Eric got the Pad Thai, I opted to get the pineapple & cashew chicken.  I took a lot of this home for leftovers, but it was so good that we found ourselves munching on it again later that same night!

For dessert we split the pumpkin custard & sticky rice. It was super good!

I highly recommend Curry Away. If you live in the Swissvale area, they even deliver! The next time we're out that way we will definitely stop by again!
